We delivered several high profile speakers for CBRE’s 2011 annual conference, attended by 300 guests from the property sector. This helped to position CBRE as thought leaders on the Government’s growth and planning agenda.
The challenge
To create business opportunities with local authorities and to engage with senior stakeholders from the property sector and debate the Government’s growth and localism strategy.
Our response
We devised the theme (“From Cuts to Growth”) for the conference and worked to secure several high profile speakers. These included former London Mayor, Ken Livingstone, Director of the Greater London Group at LSE, Tony Travers, and former Conservative mayoral candidate, Steve Norris. This helped to ensure a high-quality audience and very positive feedback from attendees. Immediately on the back of the conference, the client reaped the awards of such a high profile event, gaining new business leads.
Results
The conference was a major success, both for attendance on the day and the generation of new business leads. CBRE committed to a follow-up 2012 conference within weeks, and we will be advising on that too.
