As featured in PR Week, Fishburn Hedges, has today launched a new healthcare team to bring together its existing expertise in health and reflect the new healthcare landscape.

The Fishburn Hedges healthcare practice is built upon a strong heritage in healthcare communications. The 12-strong team boasts a wealth of healthcare experience ranging from reputation management and public affairs consultancy for private sector providers including Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics and Lloydspharmacy through to public health campaigning on issues such as smoking, drugs and alcohol misuse.

Ayesha Bharmal, head of the healthcare team at Fishburn Hedges, said: “Our new offer reflects the changing healthcare environment. The provision of healthcare in the UK is in a state of flux and the changes will affect every organisation with a stake in the health agenda, not just the NHS.

The healthcare team is made up of experienced PR professionals, public affairs practitioners, employee engagement experts, digital and social media specialists and communications planners from a range of backgrounds crossing government, the private and charity sectors and the media.

The team is supported by a professional healthcare advisory panel made up of clinicians and managers within the NHS, as well as senior figures from national representative bodies. The panel is designed to offer a view from the frontline of healthcare provision.
