My role is a challenging and exciting one, with unmovable deadlines that make the entire company happy with me, well, at least once a month.
I enjoy creating complicated spreadsheets and making my month-end reconciliations balance. Two of my favourite jobs are my weekly phone calls to soullessly turn down ridiculous expenses claims (I should have worked in Parliament…) and chasing people to complete their timesheets. You wouldn’t believe the number of times the ‘system’ ‘breaks down’ when timesheets are being completed.
Somehow I get through all this fun and occasionally enjoy the end of month free drinks.
